Fermenters -- Day 10
Day 10
1. Kefir grains in apple juice. ---- Finished. Fermented on day 6, put in a bottle to carbonate. Taste test: tasted fine, could be used to ferment and carbonate another brew.

2. Apple peel and raisins --- Finished. Fermented on day 2, put in a bottle to carbonate. Taste test: tasted fine, could be used to

3. Kahm covered oak leaves

4a & 4b. Potato water, cooked and potato water, raw

5. Kvass ---- still nothing.

7. Peaches ---- Finished. Fermented after 6 days, suitable for use in anything as soon as they had begun to ferment.

8. Moldy hay ---- Seemed to have lost strength since I diluted them, so I added some more sugar syrup.

9. Dandelions ---- Have begun to ferment. I removed the flowers and added more sugar syrup to the liquid..

10. Soil ---- Still showing tiny bubbles when shaken, not ready to use to ferment something else. Plus I think I would want to filter and dilute it through a few cycles, anyway.

11. Stale, moldy bread ----  I added this for fun. Take some stale bread, put it in water until it turns moldy on the top. Carefully draw the water off from beneath the mold and add sugar to it (the water). It is already showing tiny bubbles after 1 day.
