Let's go to the show! Please welcome our Music Theatre and Theatre teacher Patricia Barra.
Patricia Barra earned her Bachelor of Arts in Drama Education from the University of Florida. She then had a successful performance career at regional theatres, aboard Princess Cruise Lines, in Las Vegas, at local theme parks and on America’s Got Talent. Since she began her teaching career at Colonial HS all the one acts she directed earned straight superiors at district competition and “Almost, Maine” earned straight superiors at the state level. One of her students was recognized with critic’s choice monologues at state, and the large group musical she choreographed and directed, “Step In Time,” earned critic’s choice at state as well. She has directed and choreographed musicals for the Applause Awards at the Dr. Phillip’s Center for Performing Arts from their first year earning many nominations and 9 awards. She won the student-voted Teacher of the Year last year, and loves helping students discover their talents. She is excited to join the Windermere HS performing arts team and continue superior instruction!
