Harvest Festival 10th September

posted by owner wmc   [ updated ]

This year's harvest will celebrate the many gifts we offer to God in thankfulness. You can get involved by offering any of the following- or a mixture:

1 All We Can envelopes - to support Methodism's overseas aid. Available 2 weeks before harvest and on the day.

2.  Goods for Wimborne Foodbank- see the list at church (on the board to the right of the door as you leave the sanctuary) for what is urgently needed. Please bring these goods any time up to 2 weeks before harvest. They will be stored upstairs.

3. Fruit and veg. This will be used to make an arrangement at the front of church and so needs to be brought to church on the Friday or Saturday morning preceding harvest.

Thank you

Alison was ordained Deacon on Sunday 25 June.
A number of people went to support her.
Here are some photos.

The first photo shows her on stage, moments after making her promises.

In the afternoon of the same day she was ordained in wolverhampton to rapturous applause.

As  write this on Monday 6 June, Phil is at church with the contractors on the first day of the refurbishment.
Thank you to all those who worked so hard to get the premises ready.
This is what the Foyer and Fielding Room looked like on Sunday 5 June.

And by Saturday 10 June, things were looking very different;

There are decisions to be made about some aspects of the refurnbishment work.
Please make sure that you look at the notice board, and read a copy of Foyer Focus
You then have a chance to vote, to let the planning team know your views.

And keep a sharp look-out, because the information will change as other decisions are needed.

Make sure that you play your part, by making your views known.
