The MPark ran first run American movies with Korean subtitles and Korean movies with English subtitles.  It was the first US venture for a popular South Korean chain.

It was upstairs in a Wilshire shopping mall, the Wilshire Galleria, catering largely to Koreans. At the snack bar you could get your favorite Korean movie going snacks such as dried squid.

The building was formerly the I. Magnin store. It was constructed in 1939 and remodeled in 1959. It had closed as a department store in 1990.
