The Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Women's Civic Club and Lion's Club will be held on Saturday March 26th at 2:00 pm.  It will be for ages preschool thru 3rd grade.  All ages will be behind the Williamsburg Elementary School at the Practice Field.  Please bring your own container to gather eggs.

"Letting Loved Ones Light The Way"

The Williamsburg Summer Recreation Program is teaming up with the March of Dimes to hold a 5K Run/2 Mile Walk on Saturday, September 1, 2013 to raise money for the programs. Race registration is $__ and pre-registrations are due by Monday, August 12. Registration on the evening of the event begins at 5:00 p.m., with the race starting at 6:00 p.m. Individuals are also invited to purchase luminaries for $10 each in honor or memory of loved ones, which will be placed along the race course to "light the way." Please see any Summer Recreation participant to purchase luminaries, or contact Jill Norris (832-2700), Becky Mingle (832-3173), or Missy Hartman (931-7995) with any questions about the race. Little Miss Williamsburg- Cancelled

Little Miss Williamsburg 2013 has been cancelled due to lack of registrations.  Thank you to those that did submit entries.  

The Williamsburg Women's Civic club is sponsoring "The Little Miss Williamsburg Contest" on Friday, August 16, 2013 @ 6:30pm at the Methodist Church. 
Girls will be asked questions like: what activities do you participate in? What is your favorite subject in school? What pets do you have? Scoring will be based on spirit and enthusiasm rather than beauty. Dress attire will be sundress and sandals. Girls must be going into grades 1-4. Snacks will be provided.

Please use the registration form below to enter the contest. Registration information and $5 fee MUST be submitted by August 5th to 111 E 2nd St, Williamsburg, PA 16693. Please call 832-3530 with any questions.

"Our Town" to feature Williamsburg this September

WPSU's "Our Town" will soon feature our own Williamsburg, Pennsylvania. Residents of Williamsburg, both long-time and recent additions, are encouraged to attend an organizational production meeting on Wednesday, June 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Williamsburg Elementary School cafeteria. Soup Sale to Benefit 2013 Bridge Project

The Crossroads will hold a soup sale on Sunday, May 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the 2013 Bridge Project and other community needs. Support this local organization by picking up some delicious homemade goodies!

Bridge Dedication Slated for April 27, 2013

Excited to learn the winning name of Williamsburg's newest bridge? It's time to find out!
Dedication of the new bridge is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. The event will be held near the bridge in the pull-off area across from Martin General Store. Members from Williamsburg Fire, Police, Ambulance, and branches of Military will be present in uniform along with apparatus. PA House Representative Jerry Stern will speak. There will be a ceremonial ribbon cutting by Representative Stern, Blair County Chamber of Commerce's Joe Hurd, Williamsburg Borough Council President Carlee Ranalli, Williamsburg Mayor Ted Hyle, and others. The signs boasting the new bridge name will then be unveiled.
The Color Guard from Williamsburg's American Legion Post 456 will do a gun salute, and Mayor Hyle will provide closing remarks.

6th Annual Run-A-Muck Registration Forms Now Available

The 6th annual Run-A-Muck 5K Run and 2-mile non-competitive walk is scheduled for Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Williamsburg trail-head of Rails-To-Trails. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. with the race starting at 9:00 a.m. There will also be a kids' Fun Run beginning at 9:15 a.m. for those ages 10 and under. All proceeds from the race benefit the Williamsburg Summer Recreation program. The registration fee is $15 for individuals or $20 for families of two or more. If registering after May 11 up until race day, the fee is $20 for individuals or $25 for families of two or more. Please see the registration form below or contact Jodie at for more information.

Support "Grateful for Gabe" March of Dimes Team

The Crossroads will hold a soup sale on Sunday, March 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Baked goods will also be available. All sales will benefit the "Grateful for Gabe" March of Dimes team. The March of Dimes walk is scheduled for May 5 at the Blair County Ballpark. Anyone interested in walking with the "Grateful for Gabe" team, please contact Becky Mingle at 832-3173.

Bunny Brunch to be held March 23 at St. Joseph's

Come enjoy lunch with the Easter Bunny! Each child will have a photo with the bunny and receive a treat bag. Cost is $5 per person; tickets can be purchased at Nic's Grab 'n Go. Proceeds benefit the Williamsburg Summer Recreation Association.

Neighborhood Watch Meeting scheduled for March 11

The first County-Wide Neighborhood Watch meeting of 2013 has been rescheduled for Monday, March 11, 2013 at the Penn State Altoona Devorris Downtown Center in Altoona starting at 6:00PM. Please see the attached flyer for further details.

The guest speakers featured will be Sheriff Mitch Cooper and Sgt. Rob Archey, who will talk about Active Shooter Response.

The Blair County Neighborhood Watch Program is sponsored by Operation Our Town. These monthly meetings feature speakers, law enforcement, and current Neighborhood Watch Programs. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend to learn more about Neighborhood Watch Programs.
