RESEARCH INTERESTS

I have research interests that are multidisciplinary with a recent emphasis on the reverse engineering of 3D tissue structures using computer-aided designed tissue scaffolding to support tissue regeneration for the replacement of necrotic, cancerous, or otherwise dysfunctional tissues or organs. My interests also include computer-aided biological designs (Bio-CAD), Computer Aided Tissue Manufacturing, stem cell biology, cell adhesion & motility, tissue engineering, signal transduction and the in vitro testing of anticancer drugs.  I’m also interested in the use of naturally occurring products from marine organisms for solutions to medical and industrial needs.  Lastly, my interest includes the microscopic and ultrastructural analysis anatomical phenomenon occurring in marine and terrestrial organisms.
