Newtonmore is a traditional, quiet, Highland village in the Cairngorms National Park,
set in the midst of stunning scenery beside the River Spey, 
with  plenty of pleasant places to stay and eat.

There are endless opportunities for walking including the waymarked 
Wildcat Trail which encircles the village. 

The Highland Folk Museum is located at the Northern end of the village.   
This is a fascinating reconstruction of life in the Highlands in the 18th century 
where it is easy to while away several hours. 

Clan Macpherson also has its museum in the village.

The village has an excellent 18-hole golf course, tennis courts and a bowling green.
