Intro

There is a long standing DHCP issue with Mac computers which causes the internet to just "hang", while the wifi status shows full bars. As far as I can tell, this issue dates back to even 2009. It is simply unacceptable that apple has outright ignored this issue, which has popped up on dozens of forums. I've contacted Apple Support about 15 times. Each solution would only "fix" the problem for a few hours at the most. After trying nearly every 'solution' online, I resolved to manually clicking the 'Renew DHCP Lease' button in the network setting, but having to do this every 5-10 minutes is infuriating to say the least.

I have since written a program that essentially automatically renews the DHCP lease so fast that I don't even noticing that my internet went down. Being brand new to Macs in general, and never have learned the program language needed to fix this, I managed to come up with this DHCP issue workaround. Note that this program does not actually fix the problem, but acts to quickly renew the DHCP lease when it recognizes the internet is down.
