The Board

The Board of Directors is made up of elected widows and eminent members of the community who have agreed to do voluntary work for the organization. Eminent members may not necessarily be widows themselves, but people who have interest in widows affairs. The Board Members meet every Quarter  to deliberate on issues of the Widows and Orphans Movement (WOM).

WOM's previous Board of Directors had been working for the past ten years. WOM felt a need to change the Board Members due to the development of a five year strategic plan. Therefore, the below list of newly elected Board Members was adopted after the second Board Meeting held in December 2010.



Chief Moses Appiah Abaare is Chief of Binaba and Chairman of WOM's Board of Directors.

Mrs. Fulera Limann is the Former First Lady and Vice Chair for the Board of Directors for Widows and Orphans Movement.

The Vice Chair in diverse ways has supported the Widows and Orphans Movement (WOM) for a number of years and continues to connect WOM to people for support.

Dr. Yao Yeboah is the Pentsos Director-Member of the Widows and Orphans Movement's Board of Directors.

 Dr. J.Koku Awoonor is the Regional Director of Ghana Health Service as the Upper East Director-  Member for the Widows & Orphans Movement's Board of Directors.

Dr. Rabiatu Eunice Abdulai of Akonfo Anokye Hospital is the Kumasi Director-Member for the Widows and Orphans Movement's Board of Directors.

MADAM  LUCY AWEDAGA (Agriculture Director-Member)

Madam Lucy Awedaga is the Regional Officer for Women In Agriculture Director-Member for the Widows and Orphans Movement's Board of Directors

Madam Awedaga is also the Regional Officer-women in Agric development, Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Bolgatanga-Upper East Region.
