Pulling Rules

These rules apply to all weight classes

Each pull will determine its own classes.

Pullers will be getting a 1% tolerance on the scale.

1. The driver may pull only once in a weight class with a tractor. Tractor hook limits as set by the promoter.

2. Pullers will pull in order of sign-in. Anyone under the age of 18 years must have written permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Drivers must stay on the seat of the tractor at all times. One hand must be on the steering wheel at all times during the pull.

4. Any tractor or puller found to be unsafe or illegal might be disqualified from hooking.

5. NO alcoholic beverages will be permitted on the track.

6. Weights must not extend rearward beyond rear tires and cannot be more than 11 feet from the center of the rear axle to the furthest point forward. Weights must be able to clear the ground of scale at all times.

7. Any part falling off the tractor after being hooked to the sled and until the tractor is unhooked from the sled will result in disqualification.

8. All tractors must have a stop or kill switch reachable from the seat.

9. Each puller will be allowed a maximum of 1 minute from the time the sled is at the starting position to start his/her pull. Tractors must start with a tight chain. Judges' discretion will apply.

10. The track judges have the right to stop the pull if safety becomes a factor. Tractors must stop immediately upon the red flag signal or be disqualified. If the judge stops the puller for any reason the puller will take the distance from where he/she was stopped, except within the first 75 feet.

11. Tractor and sled must remain within boundaries of contest course during the pull. The out of bounds distance will be measured at that point and will count as the distance for that pull.

12. Fuels: No alcohol, nitro-methane, or dual fuel mixtures, etc... Fuel shall be subject to check at any time.

13. If there are any questions of rule violations, tractors may be checked after pulling before leaving the track area. Failure to comply will result in disqualification of that pull. The complainant’s tractor will also be checked at their cost. Challenges must be made before the challenged tractor pulls or before it is unhooked from its' pull.

14. Penalty for tampering with another person’s tractor will result in immediate disqualification for the rest of the year.

15. Failure to weigh prior to pulling will result in immediate disqualification for the rest of the year.

16. A 5 MPH speed limit will be in effect in the pit area and while leaving the track after completing the pull. Any violation will result in disqualification.

17. Unlike regular pulls, antique shows and pulls are strictly for fun. Therefore, engine trouble, gas-line problems, jumping out of gear, and other such problems common to antique tractors during the pull does not end the pull. Pullers may remain on the deck area and try again at the end of the class.

18. Pullers may be subject to a spot check.

19. Entry fees will be determined by the organization sponsoring the pull.

20. Drivers and officials will have a meeting immediately before the pull starts. Pull judges will be introduced. Announcements made at this time will overrule published rules.
