Walking Routes in West Norfolk

Free maps and details of walks from over 60 locations in the region.

Use the A - Z tabs from the top menu to access walks starting location pages. These pages are being updated; the new pages will include:-
  • A Google key map showing approximate location
  • A description of the walk starting location(s) with National Grid reference. Parking facilities, potential problems and walking terrain are described.
  • A link to the Streetmap Website showing a detailed map of the starting location at 1:25,000 scale.
  • A walk details box for each walking route from the location, which shows;-
    • the walking route, on OpenStreetMap
    • an outline description of walk, including total walking distance in miles;
    • link to download a GPX track file of the walk
It will take some time to implement these changes and while this is taking place it will still be possible to view the older style pages but OS Maps links will no longer work.

Last addition to website was a walk from Harpley Dams
to Peddars Way & Grimston Heath
prewalked on 28 July 2017 for The Ramblers (8 Aug walk)

The map shows all walks starting locations included on this website. Clicking on a map pin will display the name of the starting location and, for those who might find it useful, the travelling time in minutes, by car, from the village of Dersingham. Why Dersingham? - see  about this website.
