Bat Performs Bohemian Rhapsody

wheresbat on Feb 24, 2012 // The audience at the Tower Lounge in Artesia, NM sing Bat a Medley of Queen tunes. The best show at the Tower, ever. These people covered everything from Andy Williams, to Leo Kottke, Metallica and Toby Keith. It was a roller-coaster night, and a FABULOUS staff made the evening terrific! Bohemian Rhapsody
wheresbat  on Feb 4th 2012// Bat is overwhelmingly out-sung by the audience on the patio at Iguana Mack's in Chandler AZ. There is a guest helping out too, but the audience clearly has the reins this time around. It was a very cold outdoor show with patio heaters, and certainly not the ideal climate for a guitar show, but there is some pretty flashy guitar-work going on despite the low temperatures and painful fingers.
wheresbat  on Dec 12, 2011 / Here is just a snippet of "Dueling Banjos," showing the audience participation. It is not only Bat's guitar skill that audiences love, it's the interaction with the crowd, no matter wht he's playing. This was shot at the Irish Wolfhound Pub in Surprise AZ, a suburb of Phoenix.
wheresbat  on Dec 12, 2011 /  No Sing-along here. Bat performs "Paint it Black" by the Stones in downtown Dallas TX at the end of a fantastic night. This clip showcases Bat's musical skill.
wheresbat on Dec 12, 2011 / Do you think that EVERYONE in the world knows the words to Elvis songs? If you said yes, you're right- and here the audience easily out-sings Bat in a version of "All Shook Up" by the King. This was filmed in New Mexico with the Elks.

wheresbat  on Dec 12, 2011 / When the requests are flying, the best way to cover them is to medley lots of them together. This Medley covers a lot of different styles, and of course, Bat finds himself out-sung by the folks in Amarillo, TX. The medley features "Gimme Three Steps" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, "Life is a Highway," by Tom Cochrane & Rascal Flatts, "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield and "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" by the Police.

wheresbat on Dec 12, 2011 / Here is perfect evidence of how crazy an all-request show can get. The requests are flying, the heckling from the audience is constant, and the fun is unstoppable. This is Bat on Fire and his his Batty best. The songs include "Joy To The World" by Three Dog Night and Drivin' My Life Away by Eddie Rabbit.

wheresbat on Dec 12, 2011 / Well, you guessed it. . . Bat is completely out-sang, and out-classed by the audience at the Cedar Creek Country Club in Mabank, Tx, outside of Dallas. This was the third of three capacity crowds at the fantastic and elegant Club, and the folks in attendance were PRIMED. Later in the evening, Bat was joined onstage by Chef Chris himself!

wheresbat on Dec 12, 2011/ Bat is joined by dear friend Mary Schroenghamer in an off the deep end performance of the Mnah-Mnah Song from Sesame Street. This video appears to have been shot in Colorado during a bike-rally attended by American Legion Riders.
wheresbat | January 31, 2011  |
Bat Performing the very involved guitar piece "Classical Gas" by Mason Williams at the Elks Lodge in Artesia, NM. What you CAN'T see in the video is the other guitarists in the audience giving Bat the "finger" directly in front of the stage when he starts playing the hard part of the song with the guitar behind his head! It was a VERY fun evening with great folks.
wheresbat | January 19, 2011 -It doesn't happen too often when an unannounced guest sits in and blows Bat away. This time lightning struck in the form of Kristi Mattison, lead singer for the Walton Stout Band. The tune is "Black Velvet" by Alannah Myles and Kristi tears it up! This video was shot on Dec. 25th at Little Pete's in Flowermound, TX.

wheresbat | January 11, 2011 -When the gloves are off, the audience lets you know! Here the crowd at The City Tavern takes off with the theme song from Sesame Street. wheresbat | January 11, 2011- Bat performs an impromptu version of Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" for the Vietnam Veterans at the American Legion Post in Holbrook, Arizona. It was a very fun night, and the Vets sang and danced through the whole evening.
wheresbat | January 11, 2011- Here is a very fun little club in Grapevine, Texas, called the Back Porch. The owner, Kim, is a terrific singer, and later in the show accompanied Bat on several tunes. This film was shot during the performance of an audience request for "Fooling Yourself" (Angry Young Man) by Styx, and you can hear the audience hooting along the entire time!
wheresbat | January 11, 2011 |This film was captured at American legion Post 69 in Albuquerque, NM. The generally lively, loud, and upbeat Veterans slow down for just a minute and help Bat through a touching version of Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World." There are just no people like Veterans.
wheresbat | January 11, 2011 |Once again, the party-people can sing louder than Bat does. This time the request was for "Rhinestone Cowboy" by Glen Campbell. Port Acres, the refinery area near Port Arthur & Beaumont, Texas, hosts the finest group of folks around! This film was shot at "The Place," an incredibly fun nightclub.
wheresbat | January 10, 2011 | Bat gets outsung by the audience at Butler's Martini Lounge in Amarillo, Texas, during a medley of "Some Kind of Wonderful" by Grand Funk, "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison, and "Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys.

wheresbat  Bat Performing a long encore of requested material. The requests were for Bob Marley, Aerosmith, Bad Company, and Side One of Dark Side of the Moon. Under certain conditions, Bat has been known to perform entire album-sides by various artists, this time Pink Floyd gets the nod. The songs are improvised and medley-ed together, and the performance was filmed at the Sagebrush Inn in Taos, NM
wheresbat | January 09, 2011 Bat performing Patsy Cline's "Crazy" by request. There have been much stranger requests than this in the past.

sbat | September 14, 2010--

Anything goes. . . !

wheresbat | September 14, 2010--

Bat is often asked to sing happy birthday. Every day. All the time. Over and over. Night after night. Repeatedly. Without fail. Ad Nauseum. Again and Again. And after singing a birthday song, someone will come up and say "Hey, it's also Bill's birthday, can you sing happy birthday to him too?" And so on and so on.
