Jeff is married to Kim, and has a son, Jared (Married to Lacey) and a daughter, Kelsey (married to Kyle Duck) and three granddaughters, Hallie, Hannah and Reagan.

Jeff’s passion for ministry began in and through FCA, serving coaches and athletes. He has supplied in many Friends pulpits over the years, He and Kim attended Oak Hill Friends as young adults and he was interim pastor at East bend for six months in 2017. Graduating from Guilford College in 1980 Jeff began his teaching career focusing on Social Studies. He spent the last 12 years of his career teaching Bible History at Glenn High.

“God has an interesting way of reminding us to “never say never.”  Pastoral ministry has never been a call of mine.  But seasons change, and much to my surprise, God has seen fit to pair my skills with the needs of this congregation.  So far, I’m pretty certain it is their skills and my needs that are being met. We are becoming a team, working well together to position Kernersville Friends to impact our city and area for Christ and His kingdom in unique and exciting ways. What a humbling honor to be called to pastor a group of God’s children. “

Kim is currently serving as an administrative assistant at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church and absolutely loves being a grandmother.

Jeff and Kim have lived in Kernersville since 1984 and most recently attended Shady Grove Wesleyan Church.
