Apple Cobbler

    • 5 granny smith apples, sliced and peeled
    • 1 stick of butter, melted
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 2 cups flour
    • 2 cups milk
    • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

-Preheat your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Brush a large (12-inch) oven-proof skillet with a

bit of the melted butter.

-Place sliced apples into the skillet. Pour about 2 tablespoons of the melted butter onto the

apples, and stir to coat.

-Whisk sugar, flour, baking powder and cinnamon together in a medium bowl.

-Add milk and the remaining butter into the dry ingredients. Stir until combined.

-Pour the batter over the apples.

-Bake for approximately one hour, until the top is starting to brown and it passes the

toothpick test.

-Serve warm--topped with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
