On the Road Again! Cassville Golf Outing

July 12th, the Bella Vista Women's Golf Club was on the road again, this time to the Cassville Golf Club.  28 players made the trip on a sunny warm day.  We were grateful for the mature shade trees and a bit of breeze.  The Cassville Women's Golf Club was incredibly gracious and made us feel welcome, even when they needed to point some of us in the right direction.

We all got a taste of a tight, compact course with small undulating greens.  Depending on what hole you started on, the reaction ranged from 'not too bad' to 'you have GOT to be kidding'.  After a few holes, we adjusted to the breaks, hills, ridges, and bowls for an interesting day.

The morning was capped off by lunch at "The Farmer's Daughter", a new restaurant just outside of town.  Ellen Shelley, in a heads up move, called ahead and the restaurant was able to accommodate all of us in the balcony dining room.  The food was fresh, in good supply and delicious.  In addition to great food and excellent service, one of the best parts was an excellent air conditioner!  A 5-star recommendation for a place to stop on your way through to Branson.

Our next outing is scheduled for August 2 at Neosho(MO) Golf Club, 830 shotgun  Sign Up online.
