Special Section: Life in Your Time

We invite submissions in all categories for our special section on Life in Your Time.  Our desire is to pair works in the publication from different “generations” which share subject, theme, perspective, or style. Our goal in this pairing is to highlight the similarities, differences, and inherent humanity represented by our authors, artists, and poets throughout the decades of our modern lives.

Submissions to this special section should address the theme, but not be constrained by it.  Give us your stories and art that represent your perspective on any issue at any point in your life (childhood to now) that in some way transcends mere nostalgic reminiscence.

Any works not selected for inclusion in this special section, will also be considered for inclusion in other sections of Emerald Coast Review.

1.      A single poetry entry = up to 4 submitted poems, maximum 400 lines total.

2.      A single art/photo entry = up to 4 submitted images.

3.      A single fiction entry = 1 story.

4.      A single nonfiction entry = 1 essay.

5.      Multiple submissions to the special section are accepted.

6.    Please indicate the decade about which you are writing, or, if you feel it is more appropriate/useful for our “pairing” purposes, the decade in which you were born.

7.      No .pdf files. Poems, stories, and essays must be submitted as .rtf or .doc or .docx files only.

8.      Images must be at least 300 dpi and sent as .jpg, .gif, or .png files only.
