Memoir Writing Workshop presented by Katherine Clark
Award-winning author Katherine Clark has published four novels and three oral biographies.  In her workshop, she will explain the unique nature of an oral biography, which involves the spoken rather than the written word, along with a special collaboration between a subject and an author.  If you have a fascinating relative in the family or a character in your life full of valuable memories and stories, you will want to learn about this particular genre of biography, which entails recording conversations and editing transcripts of these recordings into a narrative that captures the character, the life, the stories and reminiscences of someone whose voice deserves to be heard and preserved.  This workshop will take you step by step through the process of creating an oral biography from start to finish.
