The Big Canoe Trip

Members from Weybay WI got together in a 12-man canoe as part of a Dorset County

event the ‘The Big Canoe Trip’.

There was a maximum of 12 people in a canoe, there were two other canoes with WI members from the County. The trip started at Arne in a lovely remote spot, members got kitted out with life jackets, safety instructions, and how to paddle! The ladies paddled across to Brownsea Island seeing some lovey scenery and wildlife on the way, they had a short of break at Brownsea Island to walk around before canoeing back. The return journey was more difficult because of the wind but the ladies managed it and did a good job as many had never been in a canoe before!
