COUNTRY SHOW 2021

The annual Country Show held in October has become a popular tradition, and 2021 was highly anticipated as it had not been possible to hold it in 2020. The new venue at The Angling Club was spacious and accessible. Members brought in their art and craft items in the afternoon and they were judged by Neil Croad and Sarah Simpson . We had 12 winners and 13 Highly Commended, all winning a prize. Categories were Cooking, Preserves, Gin, Photographs, Artwork, Floral Arrangement, Handmade item in Lockdown, item made from Foraging either beach or countryside , Quilts.

Neil gave a short talk to the members about what can be foraged at this time of year and his new retirement venture of making and selling chutneys and jams. Look out for him at the local markets.
