Club Philosophy

West Slope Volleyball Club (WSVBC) is a non profit volleyball club that exists to give girls on the Georgetown Divide and surrounding areas an opportunity to gain skills, learn team work, practice sportsmanship and enjoy the game of volleyball.

We are affiliated with the American Athletic Union (AAU). We practice and compete from January through June. We are a strong organization recognized throughout the area for our competitiveness and sportsmanship.

Our coaches and teams are highly praised by other clubs and directors for the strong leadership and sportsmanship they show both on and off the court.

Community Partner

West Slope VBC is a Community Partner with the Georgetown Divide Recreation District (GDRD).

American Athletic Union (AAU)

West Slope VBC competes in the AAU Area and Power Volleyball Leagues at Jackson Sports Academy. We currently field three teams: 12 Power, 14 Power, and 16 Power.

Club Practices

The schedule for practices and tournaments depends upon each team within the club. We offer both Power and Area teams. We typically practice twice a week and compete in 1-3 tournaments per month. Practices are held at either Northside or Georgetown Middle Schools and are usually an hour and a half  to two hours long.  They involve skill training, conditioning, and an occasional scrimmage.  In the past we have scheduled scrimmages with other clubs to provide the girls added exposure and opportunities.

In addition to practices the coaches might schedule some "fun" time at the ALT sand volleyball court. These are usually scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays between tournaments. They have found this greatly improves skills and provides a fun, bonding time for teammates.

Club Fees

We are a family oriented club that believes your daughter's volleyball should not be outrageously priced. This doesn't mean we skimp on the skill training. Our volleyball teams usually rank in the top 50% of their division and always move up in ranks throughout the season.

Our coaches keep current with advances in coaching, are active members in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), and regularly attend camps/clinics to stay current with advances/developments in volleyball.
