Weston Village Hall
As part of Weston Village’s celebration of 100 years of our Village Hall and Weston Music Society's 100th concert we are putting on a summer concert to showcase the hugely talented performers we have in our local area. Whether the performers have grown up locally or decided to make Hertfordshire their home, all are connected to the local community.
Come, listen and be inspired by performers of all ages and stages in their professional careers. Players will include Alastair Penman (sax), Caroline Owen (rock/pop violin), Emma Halnan (flute), plus some talented young musicians and student musicians from the area. Instruments will range from saxophone and jazz trumpet to classical flute and rock violin, there's something for everyone.
There will be tea and cake on sale to start, wine to finish. Families and children are welcome.
Hope to see you there!

And after that …. ? Our future is very uncertain. The stalwarts of our committee are retiring, leaving us seriously in need of persons with knowledge of the contemporary music scene - current audience tastes and trends and the musicians of all kinds who can attract younger, more adventurous listeners.
Could this be you? We do hope so. If you feel you can offer new energy, expertise or practical help, please do contact us by email
The Future
Our management needs both positive encouragement and active support. Our programming is deliberately diverse, including a mix of both popular and lesser-known classical music, sometimes familiar, sometimes challenging, but always given by outstanding performers.
Once more we are grateful to our individual supporters and also to our County Councillor, Steve Jarvis, and the Weston Parish Council. Together our Society not only survives but continues to punch above its weight.
Tickets are £20 (£5 for age 25 and under). Tickets are also available on the door unless the concert is over subscribed. It is easy to book by clicking the link given when the concert is listed by TryBooking.
