Crossroads Tour 2012

Saturday, July 28

Enjoy the scenic country roads and quiet villages of Logan and Champaign counties in west central Ohio.  Crossroads 2012 will again consist of five 15 - 35 mile loops ranging from level/lightly rolling to challenging climbs and descents providing opportunities for all levels of riders. Riders may select a single loop or combine loops for a longer and more varied riding experience.

Registration is day of the ride and will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the West Liberty Lions Park (directions), with riders free to start as soon as they are registered.  Registration fee is $20.00.  This year, Crossroads' registration fees will again benefit the Simon Kenton Pathfinders' Taking It To The Top campaign for the extension of the Simon Kenton Trail northward from Urbana to West Liberty and Bellefontaine.

Loop maps will be available at time of registration and prior to beginning subsequent loops. Maps may also be viewed on RideWithGPS.com.  This year's loops are Route E, Route F, Route G1, Route G2 and Route H

Riders are asked to check in with registration staff at the completions of each loop and prior to beginning the next.  Support vehicles will patrol each loop, and water and snacks will be provided.

Following the ride, participants are invited to enjoy the offerings of the West Liberty community.  Ohio Caverns and the Piatt Castles are located within a few
miles of the Lions Park.  Maries Candies features high quality locally produced chocolates.  Local eating spots include the Ice Cream Parlor, Liberty Gathering Place, My Little Cupcakes and More, Subway, Tigers Den Pizza, Michaels Pizza, and  CiMi Ice Cream in West Liberty; the Madriver Farm Market south of town.  Riders going through Urbana after the Tour are invited to stop in at the Depot Coffee Shop, which serves as a staging area for the Simon Kenton Trail, west of the Square on Miami St/US 36 West.
