West District Men and Youth Hockey
As a district, our aim is to provide the organisation, administration and support to allow both adults and youngsters the opportunity to play and enjoy hockey to the highest level they desire within the West of Scotland. We passionately believe in the benefits that hockey can bring to both individuals and groups. We aspire to increase the number of people participating in hockey at all levels of the sport in the West of Scotland at both senior and youth level.
Scottish Hockey West District is run by a committee of talented individuals, elected at the AGM, working in partnership to provide the best possible service to the member clubs. The committee meets regularly on a monthly basis with sub-committees for youth and umpire development.
Please contact us if you have an inquiry about any hockey-related issue or activity.
The men's West District of Scottish Hockey comprises 21 clubs that compete in 4 outdoor leagues of up to 11 teams. As of season 2012-13, the District now has a Development League which aims to provide the opportunity for experienced players to help develop new players in a competitive environment. Development League fixtures are intended to be played on days other than Saturdays to allow the participation of players from other Club teams.
The results of fixtures for the leagues will be updated and published on this site as they are reported as will the league tables.
Under 'Clubs' is listed information about each West District club such as colours and pitch location, some with a link to a website.
