As part of the West Coast Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Collaborative Professional Briefing Series, Charlie Stephens, a national expert on lighting standards will give a briefing on the status of Fluorescent Lighting. 


Prices are going up on fluorescent lighting products due to shortages in phosphors.

About Charlie Stephens:


Charlie Stephens joined the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) in July 2010 as a Senior Codes & Standards Engineer, representing the energy efficiency interests of NEEA’s funders in federal and state energy efficiency standards processes, and helping to align the work of NEEA’s Emerging Technologies and Sector Initiatives with the region’s codes and standards objectives. Prior to this, Charlie consulted for architects and project owners building high performance and net zero energy homes. He also worked for the Oregon Department of Energy where he focused on residential energy efficiency, new technology development, sustainable building and community development, and energy policy for the State of Oregon. Charlie is a past member of the U.S. Secretary of Energy’s Advisory Committee on Appliance Energy Efficiency Standards.   Charlie is currently active in the Pacific Coast Collaborative.
