Please join me in congratulating our WAMC teams on their great performance at BrUMO on February 28.
Brown University Math Olympiad (BrUMO) is a high school team competition organized by Brown University students. Brown’s 2nd-ever high school math tournament brought together 72 teams and 356 participants from 12 states, the UK, and China. This year, the organizers added a Division B for students new to high school math competitions. They also introduced a new team round - Mystery Round.
I would like to congratulate our teams on their outstanding results - placing 3rd overall in Division A and 9th overall in Division B.
Additionally, Ethan Shi placed 5th in the individual round, and Alex Svoronos, Girish Prasad and Henry Xue all placed among the top 20 participants, all in Division A.
