Please join me in congratulating our WAMC teams on their performance at BrUMO this past weekend.
Brown University Math Olympiad (BrUMO) is a high school team competition organized by Brown University students. In this inaugural year, there were 45 teams and 240 students competing. WAMC had three teams of 6 students each participating.
It is my privilege to congratulate our teams on their outstanding results - placing 2nd and 5th overall!
Not only did our teams do well, but Jack Whitney-Epstein, Alexander Svoronos, and Ethan Shi placed among the top 10 competitors. This is especially remarkable, as both Alex and Ethan are only in middle school. Big congratulations also go to Girish Prasad (top 10%) and Yunong Wu, Joseph Girotto, Alwin Jing, and Srihaan Seelam (top 20%)
