Welcome to the website for the West Adams Neighborhood Council (WANC)!

All stakeholders are invited and encouraged to attend the monthly general board meetings held the 3rd Monday of the month (4th Monday if the 3rd Monday is a holiday) at 2942 Vineyard Avenue.

Please note: As of July 1, WANC no longer has an office. All mail and notices should be forwarded to WEST ADAMS NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL, P.O. BOX 78474 (LOS ANGELES, CA 90016).

Our Purpose

The West Adams Neighborhood Council’s purpose is to participate as an advisory body on issues of concern to our neighborhood and to create more opportunities to build partnerships with government to address local needs and concerns in our community. The Council is formed to engage in all of the civic, cultural, public, and charitable purposes permitted to be conducted, or participated in, by a Neighborhood Council formed pursuant to Article IX of the Charter and Administrative Code of the City of Los Angeles.


Our Mission

  1. To empower and bring together a diverse community to maintain and improve our quality of life.
  2. To work, in cooperation with the necessary agencies, toward the protection and improvement of our area, effectively addressing the needs and concerns as identified by our community.
  3. To provide an inclusive, open forum for public discussion of issues concerning City governance, the needs of this neighborhood council, the delivery of City services to this neighborhood council, and on matters of a City-wide nature.
  4. To advise the City of Los Angeles on issues concerning City governance, the needs of this neighborhood council, the delivery of City services to this neighborhood council, and on matters of a City-wide nature.

  • Vote on March 7th, 2017 Consolidated municipal and special elections will take place in Los Angeles on March 7th. Register to vote, locate your polling place, acquire a sample ballot, and learn about measures that are on the ballot by visiting: https://www.lavote.net/home/voting-elections

  • NC CANDIDATE REGISTRATION AND ONLINE/TELEPHONE VOTING REGISTRATION Both NC candidate and online voter registration will take place Saturday April 16th 10am - 1pm at Rancho Cienega Sports Complex 5001 Rodeo Rd Los Angeles 90016. If you vote in an NC area that is participating in online or telephone voting, this is the place to register in person. FYI, WANC is having in person voting on Saturday June 18th from 10:00 am until 2:00pm at Vineyard Rec Center.
