We are delighted to announce that this year's keynote will be given by Prof. Dr. Marco Aiello:
Times are ripe for reducing the amount of traditional programming when building information systems thanks to the Service- Oriented Computing paradigm. The argument will be supported by two concrete examples of declarative approaches for creating dynamic and adaptive systems: (1) the service request language (XSRL) and its choreographic support framework that allows users to formulate their requests against standard business processes; (2) a declarative approach to transaction management in service composition.
Marco Aiello is professor of Distributed Information Systems at the University of Groningen where he leads the Distributed Systems and Software Engineering group. Awarded the Lise Meitner Fellowship (2006) and the best dissertation award from AI*IA (2003), he is currently interested in Service-Oriented Computing and Spatial Reasoning.
