Dr. Wen-Ze Shao

I am an Assistant Professor @ College of Telecommunications and Information Engineering, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China.

Since May 2014, I am also conducting postdoctoral research on advanced sparse modeling for inverse problems in image processing @ Department of Computer Science, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (IIT). My host at Technion is Prof. Michael Elad.

My fields of interests include: image processing, computational photography, computer vision, statistical learning and inference.

I completed my B.S. degree in June 2003 and Ph.D. degree in July 2008, all from Nanjing University of Science and Technology. Before I joined Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications in January 2012, I served in the Chinese PLA as a technical officer from June 2003 to December 2011.  

Apart from academic research, I enjoy literature and history, religion studying, classical pop, swimming, badminton and hiking.
