Memorial Auditorium Hauntings

Brief History:

“The Memorial Auditorium originated from an idea by Wellington Attorney Ed Hackney in December of 1918. Mr. Hackney realized that Wellington needed to have “a building that will be of service to the people of the city”. He stated that, “above all things, we need an auditorium and a gymnasium”.
In January of 1919, a committee was formed to guide the building of an auditorium to serve as a memorial to Wellington and Sumner County soldiers. In April of that year, the Mayor signed a resolution for the voters to issue $140,000 in bonds. That same month, the people voted to build “Liberty Hall”, which later came to be known as our Wellington “Memorial Auditorium”. Construction began November 13, 1921 and was completed approximately one year later for a cost of $137,488.41."  -  Wellington recreation Commission.

This is one of the newer buildings downtown and continues it's restoration process to this day. We were invited to investigate the building to see if there were any entities remaining within the walls whom might like to communicate. There were.

We always check bathrooms out since the Wellington Jr. High and the infamous Bobby Mackey's World of Music. I'm not sure why spirits meet up with us in these surroundings but we found that both the men's and ladies rooms had spirits willing to talk.
In the men's room I mentioned that we often take pictures in men's rooms. The response was laughable.

We put a female team into the ladies wash room and got an excellent response. This is quite unusual as we rarely get a thought process outloud in a non-whisper. The squeaky noise is from the Sony Night Vision camera audio pickup. A great deal of noise reduction has been used to clear this up.

Two of our female investigators were doing a flashlight session in the men's room with me when someone or something banged on the bathroom door. No one was there. Right after the 2 knocks listen for a voice saying "help me". It sounds female.

Also captured in the men's room was a fellow talking to his buddy Mike apparently in response to something we said.

The basement is the creepiest place in the building and the least favored by the staff. They claim to have a feeling of never being alone down there. That's because they're not.
Some are very friendly.....
