You have heard of the BAFTAS but what about the even more prestigious WHAFTAS.

The Wellington Heath Award For Terrific Acting Stars

On Saturday 7 February several local thespians and stage production professionals were presented with their Golden Bunny WHAFTAS at a glittering event held at a local exclusive venue: "The Wellington Heath Memorial Village Hall"

The glitterati were there in force amid strict security. Nevertheless our enterprising and daring reporter managed to gain entry by a back door so we are able to bring you exclusive pictures of the 2015 event.

The WHAFTAS are awarded for outstanding performances and technical achivements at theatrical events. There was stiff competition for the prizes with many international stars nominated. However, as expected, after so many stunning performances and coruscating productions, WHADS members walked away with the majority of the prizes.

In addition to the WHAFTAS a real trophy was presented to members of the cast of James And The Giant Peach.

WHADS young actors won the Robert Vale Trophy (with Distinction) at the Worcester Competitive Arts Festival with their scene from James And The Giant Peach.

So many congratulations to them!
