People often come to therapy when they are in a time of crisis or confusion or a major life event has occurred and they are finding it difficult to cope or adjust to life.  Some people also come as they notice there are distinct patterns in the way they relate to themselves or others and these are problematic and they  want to understand themselves better and  find a different way of responding to others and themselves.

When I meet a client for the first time I will ask a lot of questions to start gathering information to build a picture of you and your presenting problems.  Generally this takes  1-2 sessions,  I then share my thoughts and ideas with you about what is going on and we work together to set goals that are achievable and meaningful to you.  I am often asked how long someone needs to be seen for and this can vary considerably from 8 sessions to longer however
this is reviewed regularly with you.

I offer face to face appointments in Hitchin at Harmony (off Bancroft) and in North London.   I also offer Face Time, Skype and Telephone sessions.
