Welcome to Mrs. Hill's 2nd Grade Class!!

Welcome to the 2nd grade!  The information on this website is designed to supplement the classroom and encourage interactions with your child, other parents and Mrs. Hill.  As busy parents, we all understand the need for simplicity and ease when it comes to helping our young children learn.  Together with our classroom teacher, Mrs. Hill, we can work to prepare our students for this year and their future academic adventures.

Math is child's' play.  So many daily activities involve math skills.  Setting the table, playing in the bathtub, shopping are only a few.  Yes, a lot of math is memorization of math facts but once done, then the fun can really start.  Here is a fun link that offers a lot of mental math exercises for second, (and other grades) that can be done while driving, talking at the supper table, or simply spending quiet time together.
