Summer Programs!

Chapter Leadership Training Conference (CLTC)
At CLTC, BBYO's next generation of leaders will have the opportunity to develop their capacity to manage effectively, to explore their Jewish identity, and to learn advanced techniques for strengthening their local chapters. This will be accomplished through a hands-on, interactive and experiential approach. The participants will have access to a wide variety of resources, introducing them to leadership concepts and social skills that will prove useful throughout their years in BBYO and in every subsequent endeavor.

Internationl Leadership Training Conference (ILTC)
ILTC is BBYO's premier domestic leadership development experience. Graduates of the program go on to serve as integral leaders in all of their future endeavors. You will learn to craft a vision and plan strategically to ensure your success. ILTC takes your potential for leadership and enhances it, honing your skills to an advanced degree with innovative programming. ILTC is for the best and the brightest -- those who are ready to lead at the regional/council level and beyond. Learn what it takes to be a productive leader, and learn how to train others to be equally proficient. You will always remember your ILTC experience, both for the valuable skills you will develop and  the deep and fulfilling friendships you will find while there.

PROJECT IMPACT: A BBYO program at Brandeis University
BBYO and Brandeis University have teamed up to create a dynamic 12 day summer experience focused on the Jewish Values associated with Social Justice, Community Service, and Advocacy. Participants take part in hands on experiences throughout the Boston area, and high level educational programs developed through Brandeis for this experience that help frame their work in a Jewish context. Project Impact participants will gain substantial community service hours, while addressing some of the key issues and underserved populations in urban Boston. Project Impact teens develop skills that will enable them to continue working on social justice issues, community organizing, and advocacy in their home communities. Participants will be housed at Brandeis University, providing them a taste of campus life, and a chance to hear from students and university leaders about gaining admission to a top college and making smart college choices. Brandeis’ commitment to social justice and advocacy makes it the ideal partner for Project Impact. The program also takes advantage of social, cultural and recreational resources in Boston. Teens come away with close friendships and are empowered to make a difference in the world.

Int'l Leadership Seminar Israel (ILSI)
International Leadership Seminar Israel (ILSI) is BBYO’s "member's only" leadership and enrichment program in Israel. Based on an academic campus outside of Tel Aviv, the ILSI experience challenges participants with the big questions. What is the contemporary meaning of Jewish tradition? How is the Zionist movement relevant in the 21st century? What is the future of the Jewish State, and how can we play a part in shaping it? Unlike traditional Israel tours, ILSI is about connecting to Israel on a deeper level. Participants interact with a variety of different speakers, artists, religious figures, and people who have shaped – and continue to shape – Israel’s future. Along the way, we build on the curriculum through a series of day trips, long weekend excursions, and the everyday experiences of living in Israel.

Israel Journey
Join teens from around the world on a once-in-a-lifetime summer in Israel. The Israel Journey is a 3-week whirlwind experience – from the Golan Heights in the north to the tropical Red Sea in the far south…and everything in between. Along the way, we will walk in the footsteps of Jewish history, experience the vibrancy of modern Israeli culture, and connect with Israel’s colorful people.

The program includes visits to all of Israel’s must important sites – ancient Jerusalem, trendy Tel Aviv, the peaceful Galilee, the stunning Negev Desert and the heights of Masada. We also make time to experience Israel’s off-the-beaten-path charm: enjoying a bonfire on a Mediterranean Beach, taking part in an active archeological dig, sampling unique Middle Eastern cuisine, and participating in the re-birth of Israel by planting a tree in a new forest.

The Israel Journey experience is far more than just a tour. It is also about debating the meaning of contemporary Zionism, exploring our Jewish identity from an Israeli point of view, delving into the intricacies of Middle Eastern politics, and connecting to our Jewish soul through a series of meaningful community service and spiritual experiences.
