Greetings Families, Cub Scout Pack 3048 will be starting again with our Rally Night on September 10 at 7:00 pm. As in the past we will have table based sign-ups, introduction of leaders and then the boys and girls (yes we will have GIRLS this year) will go do supervised activities with the Scouts of Troop 48 while our parent meeting takes place. Parents will be given information about our program and how to sign-up. Popcorn forms will also be handed out at that time. If you need them before, they are available on our "Documents" page. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. My information is on the "Contact the Leaders" page. See you soon, Joshua Grove, Cubmaster |
Message for March 12
Greetings Everyone, Thanks to everyone for coming to the Pinewood Derby on Saturday. We helped Troop 48 raise some money and we all had a great time racing. There were some great cars raced and I know there will be some great racers representing us at the District Pinewood Derby in April. A couple of really quick reminders...

Next week, October 30th, will be the Pack Meeting/Costume Party. Everyone is invited to dress up on the 30th (including parents). We will give out any awards that were earned during October and the month and then Parade around the gym and have a guest judge for the costumes. The Wolves and Bears will provide snacks for October 30th. At the October 30th meeting, all popcorn orders will be due. Popcorn delivery to the church will be November 11th and all monies will be due in on November 27th at our November Pack meeting. Tee-Shirt order forms and money is due at the October 30th meeting as well. You may turn it in tonight if you wish, but no orders will be accepted after October 30th. Update for October 2, 2017
A Scout is Helpful - Diaper Drive
Greetings Everyone, Scouts are taught to live by the 12 points of the Scout Law: " A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent. As we begin our scout scout year we want to begin by teaching our Cub Scouts about how to be "Helpful" to their Community and Country. Being able to help someone in need is a good lesson to learn. America has seen the some of the best of our fellow Citizens over the past few weeks in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. We have seen people traveling hundreds and thousands of miles to help in the rescue and clean-up efforts. We would like to show our Scouts a physical representation of how we can help our fellow citizens who are in need. Many times those in need of aid put their efforts into food and shelter. Many times when aid packages are being distributed, we don't always give the basic needs to the very young or old in the way of diapers. I am asking that at the September 11th Rally Night and September 18th Den Meetings that we bring at least one pack of either Youth Diapers, Adult Diapers, or Wipes. All of these will be collected and added to what the City of Stow will be sending to the Texas Diaper Bank. We will also accept financial donations, but would rather give diapers. All donations will be delivered on September 19th to the City of Stow. We will also be asking our big brothers and sisters in scouting, Boy Scout Troop 48 and Venture Crew 2048, to help as well. They are being challenged to fill Mr. Grove's Van. For more information about the City of Stow's Diaper Drive, click here. |
Popcorn Order Forms HERE!!!
The main way that our Pack is Funded is through the sale of Boy Scout Popcorn. While not necessarily as recognizable as Girl Scout Cookies; everyone loves our popcorn. Below are the forms for our Popcorn Sales. For each dollar of popcorn sold; the Pack gets 33 cents, the Council gets 33 cents, and the company gets 33 cents. Popcorn also can help get your child to our summer activities for Free. Check out the Parent Handbook and see what Popcorn Incentives we have. You may start selling now and we will cover all this information at the Rally Night on September 11th. |
New Pack Website - Welcome!
You will notice some changes in the way we go about Pack
business over the next several months and we are pretty sure they will be
changes for the better. Our hope is that
you can (eventually) rely on the website as your main source of information
about our Scout program.
In the near future, we will post stories and update our calendar and some other nifty tricks to keep everyone at the top of their game. Please give us some leeway as the changes go into effect and everything starts smoothing out. It might get a little rocky before it gets smooth. We think you are going to like the changes. This website is already packed with features and when we get in a groove at the leadership level it will be even better. If you'd like to contribute let us know. You can start at the "Strong Leaders" section. |
