The City of Westfield Parks is partnering with the Westfield Public Library for something new and fun to do this fall.
Join us for a free themed story-time at the Council Circle Fire Pit in Simon Moon Park. Fireside Tales is a fun activity for families of all ages. There will be lots of different things to see and time for listening to a wonderfully told story. Story time will start at 7pm each of these nights and you can stay for the whole hour or just pop in for a few minutes. Here are our themes for the Fireside Tales:
On September 22nd at 7pm our theme is "Ei-Ei-Oh Farm." We are planning to have farm animals on hand during the event. There will be great stories and maybe a song or two. What great fun!
October 20th at 7pm the theme is "Boo! Who are you?" Come in your favorite costume for a great night of "only a little scary" stories. What a great way to get another night of fun in your Halloween costume. Also, we are planning to have a craft area for making masks. This will be a great night of fun for the whole family.
Our final fire-side tale for the year will be on November 10th at 7pm and we say "Sleep, Sleep, Winter is coming - Saying goodnight to the Earth." Our story theme is after a great year, the earth is starting to sleep. Bring your pillows and blankets and snuggle up tight as we say good night. Long-legs the Turtle will be with us as he is getting ready to hibernate for the winter.
You and your kiddos are not going to want to miss this great way to get together with friends and family. Join us as we enjoy our new Council Circle in Simon Moon Park.
(Simon Moon Park is on 171st Street just east of Carey Rd. next to the City Services Building.)
