Welcome to the GT website for Webster Elementary. I'm super excited to be a part of the Webster Community.

This website is a one stop shop on what is going on in the classroom. The students and I will keep a weekly blog, so check back often to see what amazing things we are doing.

The Happenings

  • April 3, 2017 I have to say that I am super impressed with the students as we have come back together after the break. One of the biggest components of my my GT program is students learning to work together as a team. Today I saw evidence of great teamwork. Students worked through disagreements and conflict to comes to a consensus on a decision. The disagreements were met with constructive ideas and thoughts. It was really cool to listen to them throw ideas into the mixing pot, stir them around, and come out with a bigger and better idea. I love watching them grow through this process!

  • Semester Ends I can't believe the semester has come to an end. I am super proud of the students and all they have accomplished. It's been a semester of new learning, new activities, new projects, new curriculum, new many things! Each grade level has really stepped up. 3rd grade reading learned what a debate is and how to prepare themselves for a debate. They learned that even if they don't agree with a point of view, it is still important to learn all of the facts about that point of view to prepare for debating. (Or even to educate themselves on all perspectives!) 3rd Grade math got to travel all over the world to experience new cultures, new activities ...

  • 4th Grade Reading Bloggers In GT we are learning how to help our environment by doing research on our environment and how things affect it. Some of the topics we are doing are acid rain, pollutions, and toxics. We are excited to work with our teams and our goal is to all work as a team and perservere.  Another thing we are excited about is working with the people we worked worst with in stem projects to build up teamwork with each other. Stem stands for science, technology, engineering and math. 4th Grade Reading Bloggers
