Process I - Research

How will you do all this when you are not on the trip, you might ask?  Why take a Virtual Tour of course!

Part I. Research

Step 1: The Template

Download and save the following template onto your desktop.

Download Files

  • DCGuidebookResearchTemplate.docx   6k - May 8, 2013, 7:17 AM by Kate Liese (v1)
Showing 1 files from page Files For Download.

Step 2: Conduct Your Research
Choose 10 famous sites, from the list below, that you and your group think are an absolute “must see” for the 8th graders going on the Washington DC trip

While visiting these internet websites, record the following information about each famous site into your research document.

  • Name of the site
  • Brief background about the site (3 facts minimum) – Consider Who, What, When, Why, How the site became so important
  • What visitors should expect to see:

o   times the sites are open to visitors

o   any restrictions for visitors

o   expected behavior while at the site

o   What is available for visitors to see and do

o   Any costs associated with visiting the site (entrance fees, etc.)

2 to 5 pictures of the sites
