This is the site I have created to show the progress on the restoration of my 1960 Jeep FC-170,
purchased on the 4th of July weekend in 2013.

In the Beginning:

This was how it was advertized for sale. The former owner warned me there was a lot of rust.

I headed out for Lompoc, Ca. (right on the coast) from Riverside, in the Inland Empire, (nice and dry)
in a Jeep Commander with a U-Haul car trailer hoping it wouldn't be rusted as bad as a was afraid it might be.

It Was. And more. But the old girl showed promise, so I brought her home.

Knowing the cab was supposed to be pretty bad, I found this cab less than 5 miles from my house.
Bought it before I went after the truck it would go on.

I knew it would be heavy, but 3 grown men and a strong 15 year old boy could just barely budge it.
Finally got it on to a U-Haul car hauler trailer, and used my engine hoist to get it off when I got it home.
WHEW!!!
