Candy Cane Crumble Bars

Candy Cane Crumble Bars from We are not Martha

  • 3/4 C butter, softened
  • 1/2 C packed light brown sugar
  • 2 C all-purpose flour
  • 1 can (14 oz. condensed milk)
  • 9-10 oz. white chocolate chips
  • 1 C crushed candy canes
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.


1) In a stand mixer (or large mixing bowl), cream together butter and brown sugar, until fluffy.
2) Add the flour to the bowl and mix gently until it comes together in turns into coarse crumbs.
3) Grease a 13"x9" baking pan and press about half of the dough mixture onto bottom and up sides. Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes.
4) While cookie bottom is in the oven, in a medium saucepan, heat condensed milk and white chocolate chips over medium heat, until melted and smooth.
5) Pour the chocolate mixture over the hot shortbread.
6) Combine the remaining crumbs and peppermint topping together.  Sprinkle this mixture onto the top of the chocolate layer. Bake for another 18-22 minutes.
7) Wait until bars cool completely before cutting into squares.
