Welcome to my web site. I am an economist with skills in quantitative general equilibrium modelling and applied time series data analysis. Topics of my research have included monetary policy rules for open economies, the behavior of the US-UK real exchange rate over different historical periods and the adjustment process for current account deficits. My teaching experience includes courses in macroeconomics and international economics.
I received my MA (2001) and PhD (2006) from the University of Virginia. I was born in Colorado and grew up here and in Michigan. After graduating from Carleton College in Northfield Minnesota, I spent a couple of years in New York working for a financial trade publication. I am a fan of the Detroit Tigers baseball team.
