The Conference Presentations follow the typical conference structure. The sessions last 45 minutes, which includes time for questions. Typically presentations allow about 10 minutes for questions. It is highly encouraged that presentations contain an interactive component that engages the audience and allows for immediate hands on practice.

Here are a few examples of what has been presented in the past:
  • Interactive Activities with Index Cards
  • Teacher as Coach and Study Groups
  • Game Shows in your Classroom:  Teaching Facts and Vocabulary!
  • Integrating Social Media and Technology with ESL Teaching

The Quick Share Sessions (QSS) are similar to a conference poster session with a “speed dating” structure. Presenters will set up their materials, handouts, and realia at a table. The session will be divided into four-eight minute cycles. In each cycle, presenters will have about 5 minutes for their presentation and the remaining time for questions and discussion.

This will be an interactive session. Teachers who attend the QSS will be able to choose any four presentations, ask questions, obtain materials, and participate in discussions with the presenter and other teachers.

Here are a few examples of what has been presented in the past:
  • Games
  • Music in the classroom
  • Pronunciation
  • Using the Internet
