William Whitney Cressey
Bill is a retired college professor and international programs administrator. From 1996 to 2006 he was on the staff of Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), serving as the operating head of the International Study Programs division, which offers study abroad programs and faculty seminars, manages CIEE’s annual conference, and publishes the Journal of Studies in International Education. Prior to joining CIEE staff, Bill served as a member of the Board of Directors and was the first chairman of the Academic Consortium Board. Bill was also one of the founding members of the Forum on Education Abroad
From 1971 to 1996, Bill was Professor of Spanish Linguistics at Georgetown University where he also served as Director of the Office of International Programs.
His research and teaching fields are theory of language-- Transformational Grammar, Spanish linguistics, and teaching methodology.
He has published a number of books and articles. List
For many years, Bill served on the board of directors of Leadership Connect. (AKA Leadership Directories—LDI), an online and print contact information publishing company based in NY and DC. He served as chairman of the board from 2003 to 2017.
Bill has sung with various choral groups. He is a second tenor.
