Workshop on e-Services Composition and Development in the Cloud

The objective of this workshop is to investigate how services and business processes of public and private sector organizations can benefit by utilizing resources available in the cloud infrastructure. The workshop will include invited talks from experts in academia, industry, and government. It will also include panel discussions on issues and challenges faced by government and industry on moving their business processes and services to the cloud environment. In addition, hands-on tutorial will be conducted to familiarize students and participants with the current research and its applications in the area of cloud computing and service-oriented computing.


The workshop is intended for students, researchers, and practitioners focusing on developing cloud-based solutions in the public and private sectors. Relevant topics include: 

  • Automated provisioning and orchestration of cloud resources for distributed applications and business process development
  • Automated discovery and composition of services
  • Service management for the Internet of Things
  • Fog/edge computing
  •  Internetware and DevOps
  • Applications: e-government, e-health, e-learning, smart city, smart grid, etc.  

This workshop is sponsored through an HEC funded project under the Pakistan – US Science and Technology Cooperation Program.
