The problem of spectrum scarcity for RF networks has raised the interest of adopting the optical wireless communication (OWC) systems as an alternative or complementary to the existing RF networks. This is mainly driven by the benefits attained by OWC systems in terms of the energy efficient light emitting diodes (LEDs) and unlicensed huge spectrum.  Recently,  there has been surge research activities in the area of OWC where different applications have been considered including visible light communication, underwater communication, optical camera communication and free-space optical communication. Despite this interest, this area still requires more exploration and extensive research efforts to harness its potential for unlocking the spectrum required for  future communication systems. In this workshop we invite you to the beautiful city of Doha. The goal of this workshop is to bring researchers and practitioners together from academia and industry to present their state-of-the-art research and development results.
