    Our scheduled awards luncheon had to be canceled, but despite the fact that the celebration of the current scholarship awardees takes place against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, the amazing achievements of our 2020 scholarship awardees cannot be dimmed.  The academic success and the leadership skills this group has demonstrated is an excellent predictor of the roles they will play in the future of our community, our country, and the world.  We congratulate you!  Click here for a list of the 2020 scholarship recipients.  The awards program is here.

  • Important Information Regarding the 2020 Scholarship Application Due Date and Instructions for Submitting
    Due to the coronavirus concerns and school closures, the scholarship application timeline has been changed.  Applications are now due to your school's scholarship coordinator on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15 by EMAIL  All college-bound graduating seniors are encouraged to apply.  Click here for application details.  Please read instructions carefully as there are a few changes.

  • 2020 Scholarship Quilt
    Tickets for the 2020 Scholarship Quilt are now on sale!  

    "SCHOOL COLORS"
    The lucky ticket will be drawn at the June 11, 2020 Division 58 meeting.

    This Scholarship Quilt is the ninth quilt to benefit the Retired Educators Scholarship Fund.  It represents all of the district high school colors.  The quilt pattern is a starburst to represent the seniors who will be reaching out into the community and beyond after they graduate.

    The quilt top was made by Division 58 members, Sandy Price, Jane Toro, and Janet Smith, and friends Barbara Gaffield, Joan Ellis and Tess.  

    Tickets are 6 for $5.00 and are sold at the WCCUSD Retired Teachers (CalRTA Div 58) monthly meetings.  A quilt ticket request will be included in the 2020 Scholarship Raffle Ticket mailing.  Tickets can also be requested by emailing wccrescholarshipfund@gmail.com.

  • 2019 Scholarship Awards
    We are pleased to announce that thirty-four WCCUSD graduating seniors are receiving $2,000 scholarships this year.  Recipients will be honored at the CalRTA Division 58 luncheon on Thursday, May 23 at the Bay Cities Masonic Lodge, 5050 El Portal Drive, El Sobrante.  Students are asked to arrive at 11:15 for photos.  The luncheon begins at noon.  Congratulations to our students, and a huge THANK YOU to all who made this possible.  Click here to see the list of awardees.
