Our Staff

Nicole Miller, Director
Nicole has worked with TLC Child Care since it opened in 2003.  She has had the opportunity to work within every classroom allowing her to understand and see what each teacher undergoes on a daily basis.  Since starting with TLC in 2003 she has continued her education and has received her National Accredited CDA.  Nicole continues to strive for excellence through learning as much as possible about Early Childhood Education.  She does this through attending classes regularly on the latest Ohio State Content Standards, theories, and innovative ways to teach young children.  She also attends OAEYC's annual Ohio Early Care and Education Conference.  In her free time Nicole enjoys fishing, bowling, and spending time with her family playing cards & board games.

Ms. Vanessa, Teacher
Vanessa began her journey learning by attending classes and conferences.  She also completes a lot of research on her own to gather ideas and activities to help with the learning development of so many children and their families through the years.  She then went on to receive her CDA Credentials through a self directed course of childhood providers.  She has over 30+ years in childcare and is certified in CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse and Communicable Disease.  She is currently a  lead teacher of a Kindergarten Readiness classroom.  She currently uses the content standards through the Step Up to Quality program in her curriculum.

In her classroom children have the opportunity to experience with hands on manipulative materials, experiment, explore and initiate their own activities.  They also have the opportunity to explore the alphabet, numbers, colors, science, cooking experiments, and the creative arts daily.  Children get to select their activities from a variety of learning centers as they move about freely in the classroom.  This allows the children to be in control of their own play.  The children have opportunities daily to explore their gross motor skills indoors and outdoors (weather permitting).

Vanessa has the philosophy of "You as the parent and myself as the teacher, we work together to work on your child's needs."
