Volunteers of Lake Country Garden for Good

Volunteers of Lake Country Garden for Good is a community garden located in Hartland that is cared for by volunteers. All the produce is donated to area food pantries and free meal sites. GFG is also a demonstration garden for organic gardening and the "double digging" method for increasing the amount of plantings and food production per square foot.

St. James Catholic Church: Fields of Dreams

The Field of Dreams community garden is located at St. James Catholic Church just east of Sussex. It is cared for by members of the parish with participation by the Boy Scouts.  All produce is donated to the Sussex Area Outreach Services Food Pantry with hopes that enough food will be produced to include food pantries in Menomonee Falls and St. Martin de Porres in Milwaukee. In 2012 a second garden the Field of Hope was added, doubling the size of the gardens. A third garden space is in process to for planting in the spring of 2015.
