VESAK DAY falls on the full-moon day in May and is the holiest of all Buddhist observance days. This day commemorates  Lord Buddha’s Birth, Enlightenment and Maha Parinibbana (final passing away).  This thrice sacred day for all Buddhists is observed and celebrated throughout the Buddhist world with great veneration.

This year, Vesak Day falls on Tuesday, 13th May 2014 and the organising committee has decided to celebrate Vesak Day with a difference!  The emphasis this year will be to enable our members and devotees to learn more about the Buddha's life and teachings, and the various Buddhist images/icons in our temple.  There will be a free guided tour of our temple, Dhamma talks and a slide show of the Buddhist places of pilgrimage.  The programme for the day is given below for your information.

The Resident Sangha and the Board of Management is very pleased to invite you, your family and friends to join us in the celebration of this most sacred Buddhist observance day.
