WaCLA Essay Contest

The Washington Consortium for Liberal Arts is promoting a scholarship opportunity for high school seniors enrolled in Washington high schools.

The contest asks students to write an essay of no more than 500 explaining how a liberal arts education can illuminate an issue that’s important to the people of Washington State.  WaCLA will award scholarships to the top three essays submitted.  The first place winner will receive a $3,000 scholarship to a WaCLA institution, the second place winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship to a WaCLA institution, and the third place winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship to a WaCLA institution.

 Essays must be submitted to https://collab.evergreen.edu/hsessay/ by 16 January 2015.  It’s that simple!
